What is foam tape used for?

The foam tape is made of EVA or P E foam as the base material and is coated on one or both sides with solvent-based (or hot-melt) pressure-sensitive adhesive and then laminated with release paper. It has a sealing and shock-absorbing effect. It has excellent sealing properties, resistance to compression and deformation, flame retardancy, and wettability. The products are widely used in electronic and electrical products, mechanical components, small home appliances, mobile phone accessories, industrial instruments, computers and peripherals, automotive accessories, audio-visual equipment, toys, cosmetics, etc.

Main characteristics

1Excellent sealing properties to avoid gas release and atomization.

2Excellent resistance to compression and deformation, i.e. the elasticity is long-lasting, which can ensure the long-term shock protection of the accessories.

3It is flame retardant, does not contain harmful toxic substances, does not leave residues, does not pollute the equipment, and is not corrosive to metals.

4. Can be used in a wide range of temperatures. It can be used from negative degrees Celsius to negative degrees Celsius.

5Surface has excellent wettability, easy to bond, easy to make, and easy to punch and cut.

6Long-lasting adhesion, large peel, strong initial adhesion, good weather resistance! Waterproof, solvent resistant, high temperature resistant, good adhesion on curved surfaces.

How to use

1. Remove dust and oil from the surface of the object to be adhered to and keep it dry (do not apply it on a rainy day when the wall is wet). For mirror surfaces, it is recommended to clean the adhesive surface with alcohol first.

2The working temperature should not be lower than 10℃ when pasting, otherwise, the adhesive tape and the pasting surface can be heated properly with a hairdryer.

3. The pressure-sensitive adhesive tape will be most effective after 24 hours (the tape should be pressed as tightly as possible), so when pasting vertical load-bearing objects such as mirrors, the tape should be left flat for 24 hours after both sides have adhered. If this is not the case, it is necessary to support the load-bearing object during the 24 hours of vertical adhesion.

Applications

The products are widely used in the insulation, sticking, sealing, anti-slip and shockproof packaging of electronic and electrical products, mechanical parts, small home appliances, mobile phone accessories, industrial instruments, computers and peripherals, car accessories, audio-visual equipment, toys, cosmetics, craft gifts, medical instruments, electric tools, office stationery, shelf displays, home decoration, acrylic glass, ceramic products, and transportation.

Substrates

EVA, XPE, IXPE, PVC, PEF, EPDF, etc.
